Bask in the grounding warmth and harmonious complexity of Internal Sunshine Loose Leaf Tisane. This thoughtfully crafted blend is a reflection of traditional herbal wisdom, where every root and spice is selected for both its rich flavor and its historical purpose in supporting comfort and wellness.

I’ve created a balanced profile by thoughtfully layering two key traditional botanical categories:

  • The Stimulating Bitters: Dandelion Root, Burdock Root, Turmeric, and Orange Peel are ingredients that have been historically used to gently awaken the digestive system.

  • The Soothing Carminatives: Warming spices like Ginger Root, Cardamom, Cinnamon, and Spearmint are blended in for their traditional reputation of providing comforting digestive ease and a cozy, spicy backbone.

The blend is perfectly rounded out by the subtle sweetness of Licorice Root, the delicate freshness of Lemongrass, and the tartness of Hibiscus that ties all the layers together into a truly restorative ritual.

  • For a cup, steep 1.5 heaping teaspoons of Internal Sunshine Tisane in 8 oz (240ml) of hot water (just off the boil) for at least 20 minutes. Strain and enjoy.

This blend is delicious both hot and cold, and its nuanced flavor truly shines when steeped for longer periods. For larger batches:

    • French Press (24 oz / 720ml): Use 1.5 heaping tablespoons.

    • Teapot (32 oz / 960ml): Use 2 heaping tablespoons.

3.5 oz makes 22 cups, but you can re-use the blend 2-3 more times; simply increase the steep time for subsequent infusions and know that it won't be as strong.  I often make 2-3 batches from the same blend and drink the less concentrated versions cold; it's a great way to increase hydration.
